I always seem to buy lemons

I wish hardware printed the PCI ID on it, so you could at least do some homework on what's what.

Bought a HP branded four port USB 2.0 controller from Fry's tonight, and the sucker doesn't appear to work despite the page for a mighty similar device saying it should work.
